MEETING TIME AND VENUE
The Club meets from 7:30 to 9:30 pm every Monday Night from 11 March till 4  November with the exception of Public Holidays, at Carterton School Hall, Dixon St, Carterton (near the Carterton Events Centre).

The club welcomes all levels and ages of dancer from New Dancer to Advanced.
Scottish country dancing is a social form of dancing danced in pairs typically in sets of 4 couples. You do NOT need a partner to attend classes and dancers who attend with a spouse or partners do not usually dance all dances together.

DRESS
Tidy informal. You will need soft shoes. Formal Scottish attire is not required, even for formal events.
Dancers who have Scottish attire (especially men who have kilts) may choose to wear this for monthly “Tartan nights” and Saturday Night dances.

SUBSCRIPTION
The current annual subscription is $70.00 payable by 31 May. This covers all Monday night dance classes.
New members are encouraged to attend for a few nights and decide if they want to continue before payment is expected.

TARTAN NIGHT
On the first Monday of each month the club has a Tartan Night. Members are encouraged to wear some Tartan and the programme is compiled from dances taught in the previous month. Dancing is followed by supper.

ADVANCED CLASS
An Advanced class is held on the first Friday of each month. Attendance is with the approval of the club tutor. A small charge is made to cover the cost of the venue.

ANNUAL DANCE

The annual dance will be held on  2 November featuring live music. The dance is attended by club members and other members from Wellington and nearby Regions. Those who have formal attire wear it and those who do not wear tidy informal dress. This year the dance will be held in the Carterton Events Cetnre with music provided by Marian Anderson and Max Ketchin from the UK.
